Get your CCW License Safety Course with Shelby Safe Training. We offer personal training in class and on the range, so you can feel confident with conceal carrying. Beginners and those who need a refresher, will learn fundamentals, information on Florida Law, holstering options, and more. This is a 4 hour class (3 hours in class, and 1 hour on the range).
Class size is limited for personal attention, $65, and includes handouts, ammo, targets, etc.

Back to Basics (Handgun 101) is your class to help you get familiar with your firearm. Great for beginners, and those new to concealed carry, who do not know how to shoot yet. We'll cover fundamentals, gun cleaning, handling, and getting you to the range for some live fire drills.

NRA's Home Firearm Safety is a 4-hour non-shooting course for safe gun handling conducted in the classroom only. Students are taught NRA’s three rules for safe gun handling; primary causes of firearm accidents; firearm parts, ammunition components; unloading; cleaning; care; and safe storage of firearms in the home. Participants will receive $10 gift certificate towards personal instruction, a completion certificate and NRA Home Safety handbook. Ideal for new shooters or those thinking of purchasing a firearm. This course is also a perfect course for spouses of gun owners to take in order to demistify firearms and ensure they know how to safely handle one — even if they plan on never shooting one. This course does not qualify for CWP. No Live Ammo in the Classroom.

Basic Pistol
The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation. This 8 Hour course topics include: gun safety rules, proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, ammunition knowledge and selection, pistol selection & storage, shooting fundamentals, pistol inspection and maintenance, marksmanship, and shooting range safety. Additionally, students will complete live fire training and a nationally standardized shooting qualification while on the range with an NRA Certified Instructor. Students will receive the NRA Guide: Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Review/Examination and receive a course completion certificate. (No Live Ammo in the Classroom)

Personal Protection
The NRA Personal Protection in the Home is an eight-hour course for experienced students. Students should expect to shoot approximately 100 rounds of ammunition. Students will learn basic defensive shooting skills; strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation; firearms and the law; how to choose a handgun for self-defense; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Personal Protection In The Home handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, and course completion certificate. (No Live Ammo in the Classroom.)
